Guild Information

Welcome to the home of Kiss of Ysera, pull up a chair, sit down, relax, grab a complimentary drink and take a few moments to listen to what we have to say.

Kiss of Ysera is a World of Warcraft guild on the Emerald Dream (EU) server. We were founded just before the Burning Crusade expansion launched, by a group of friends who had very much liked playing together as a team through the old raiding instances, but were ready for a new, more social outlook on the game. Today we are a family sized guild with members from the Alliance faction. So what makes us different from the many other guilds out there?

To begin with, we are a social guild. We play just for fun, we see the game as a relaxed way of enjoying our spare time. We consider our real lives, whilst often more boring, never-the-less to always be of far greater importance than the game. We will never have rules that make the members feel that they are obliged to play certain times or in certain ways - it's important to realise that this is just a game, it is somewhere for us to share and enjoy our common hobby as friends and progress at our own pace.

Our goal is to make the guild a pleasant environment to be, with fun and friendly players. We do not wish to be a haven for bots, scammers, gold-farmers or otherwise abusive persons. We want players that have a mature but fun attitude, and to help us communicate with each other, reasonable English skills are a great help.

Since we define ourself as a social guild, we find it important that every member feel they belong in the guild and that no-one feels anonymous or left out. Therefore we will intentionally keep the guild small and only have a slow recruitment of fitting players. You will have the whelp rank when you first join the guild, and if you fit in our guild you will be awarded full membership (dragon) during your second month. This to make sure we build a community with personalities that mix well.

Our rules are simple, we won't tolerate using lots of bad language in guild chat, jokes about ethnic or sexual minorities, or any other victimisation / bullying of members or other players in the game. We appreciate players that are communicative, fun and visible in guild chat without spamming.

When it comes to endgame content we have a relaxed attitude. Most of the members have raided a lot before the expansion (BWL was the toughest instance we did then) and so we do have vast experience in raiding. We will start raiding in an organised way very soon, with Karazhan as our first goal. In the spirit of the guild, this will be very much planned on a social scale - only a couple of raids per week, no mandatory raid attendance, and a very simple system for loot distribution. If you are looking for a hardcore fast-paced end-game guild, we will probably not suit you, but if you are looking a guild where you can come on some raids and have fun and enjoy the game content in the spirit we believe it was meant to be enjoyed, you may be surprised how successful a guild can be without turning into a military operation!

See you in game!
